Honda CR-V 2012 review
new for 2012, the 4-generation Honda CR-V offers a sophisticated style and bold direction, offers multiple technology firsts for Honda and increases fuel economy on all models, American Honda Motor Co., Inc., announced . Long established as the reference vehicle in its class in terms of quality, refinement and popularity, the 2012 CR-V is designed to continue to exceed customer expectations for entry-level SUV. Major enhancements include improved car-like interior comfort, a smoother ride and quiet, and the most innovative features.
Body
Significantly reduce the impact of noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) throughout the body and chassis improve interior quietness and ride quality than the previous model. To obtain this improvement, the Honda CR-V 2012 has a greater rigidity of the body, suspension components lighter, sound insulation and additional more aerodynamic characteristics as covers the base plate and a rear spoiler.
Honda CRV dimensions
The 2012 Honda CR-V rides on a 103.1-inch wheelbase and measures 178.3 inches long, 0.8-inches shorter than the previous generation CR-V. A 71.6 inch, total width is equal to the previous CR-V, and 61.6 cm front/61.6 inches behind the circuit is the same. But the main departure is in height: at 65.1 inches tall, the 2012 CR-V is a remarkable 1.0 inch lower on AWD models and 1.4 inches lower on FWD models. Although the overall visual impact of a lower, more elegant CR-V, even with these adjustments external dimensions of the new model is even more spacious inside.
Honda CRV Exterior Style and Design Concept
The size and the ratio of the previous generation Honda CR-V has contributed to its success as the best-selling SUV in each calendar year from 2007 to 2010, as well as sophisticated features such as multi-reflector halogen headlamps, all along the rear body, and external detail both robustness and refinement transferred.
Compared to the previous generation CR-V, the 2012 model gets a more aggressive and aerodynamic design with deep carving of the body lines and a bolder front. The front bumper is smooth flowing lines are highlighted by a horizontal three bar grille and deeply set multi-reflector headlights. The front bumper lower elegantly wraps upward to transmit ability of SUV with a generous approach angle, while the lower front bumper now integrates more easily with the band to improve the aerodynamics. The signing of the CR-V vertical brake lights, which originally debuted on the 1997 model, remain for 2012 with a more three-dimensional style that further design and aerodynamics of the car compliments. Large diameter wheels The CR-V and marked wheel arches emphasize the vehicle's dynamic presence and capability.
In aerodynamics, the new CR-V sent to the top of its class, with numerous design elements that contribute to improved efficiency. The roofline is more integrated rear spoiler and help reduce the drag coefficient.
The CR-V EX-L is equipped with roof rails silver from the A-pillars and scanning along the line of the roof towards the rear of the vehicle (available as an accessory on CR-V LX and EX). These guides provide an attachment point for a rack accessory, while providing a dramatic visual element. The guides are fully functional, with each side including three anchor points.
Side Door Design with greater input and output
If the doors are open, the seal under the side of the rocker panel provides a more direct path to the ground when entering or leaving the vehicle than the previous-generation Honda CR-V. The end result is less switching distance for greater comfort and less likelihood of contact with the leg side of the vehicle.

Aerodynamic improvements Honda CRV
The CR-V gets significant improvements in aerodynamic efficiency and refinement for 2012, which reduces and contributes to an increase in fuel consumption. Among the improvements is a drawing of the body which significantly improves the aerodynamic efficiency, helping air to move over, around and under the CR-V. Moreover, the plan uses undercovers new or enlarged under the engine behind the front subframe, under the passenger compartment, and under the area of the trunk to help smooth airflow, resulting in less turbulence and resistance. Further details including conduits of the radiator, strips of air and a rear spoiler, all combine to the aerodynamic efficiency.
Rigid Unit-Body Construction Honda CRV
In the new 2012 CR-V, many improvements contribute to a greater unity of body resistance, which improves handling and interior noise. All new technique improves the overall strength of the front bulkhead, front and rear fenders, A-, B-, C, and D-pillar and body messages than the previous generation Honda CR-V. Consequently, the stability is increased overall, benefiting driving precision and feel, ride comfort and dynamic stability. The body sills are formed to further improve the ergonomics input and output.
Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure
Originally debut at the 2005 Odyssey, the 2012 CR-V uses the Advanced Compatibility Engineering ™ (ACE ™) body structure. (See the Security section for more information.) ACE body structure is a pioneering Honda unit-body construction technology. Introduced the CR-V in 2007 model, ACE ™ increases the capacity of the vehicle body to manage the impact energy in the event of a frontal impact, even if the CR-V should collide with another vehicle which is larger or more smaller.

Multi-Angle Rearview Camera with Guidelines
All models get a multi-angle rearview camera, visible on the 5-inch intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID). The camera can show a view from above, 130 degrees or 180 degrees ¬ rear visibility when the transmission is in Reverse. The camera is located just above the license plate on the back. Guidelines help managers assess how close they are to an object. The dashed line indicates the shortest distance that the tailgate can be opened. On models with navigation system, the image appears on the display 6.5-inch. (See inside for details.)
Visibility and glass
Excellent visibility to the outside is a feature of the Honda design and a key feature for the 2012 Honda CR-V. Like its predecessor, Honda fourth-generation compact SUV maintains excellent front and rear sight lines for the driver, including an impressive point of view and a short forward invisible (the distance that a driver needs to look at the ground to see in the front of the vehicle). These invisible length is further enhanced with the corners of the CR-V 2012 cap, causing the driver objects shorter near the front bumper to see.
The CR-V is also UV-resistant privacy glass with dark shades on the second row of windows. This glass filters out UV rays and results in less interior fade over time, lower cabin temperatures on hot days and more efficient internal cooling. The rear windows are distinctive in recognition of ECON ECON mode the CR-V. (See Powertrain for more information.)
Power windows Honda CRV
Power windows with driver's window auto-up/down, are standard on all models CR-V. The individual controls are located by their respective windows. If you press a button on the window of the control panel of the driver can deactivate the passenger windows.
One-touch power moonroof with tilt feature
The Honda CR-V EX and EX-L models have a one-touch power moonroof with tilt feature that completely open or close with one touch of the switch. The construction of the mechanism moonroof been studied offer enough headroom. The moonroof has a sliding sunshade that opens with the roof and can be closed to block the sunlight. To tilt or slide the moonroof the driver or front passenger needs only to press the roof switch once (instead of holding for a few seconds). The moonroof fully opens or closes automatically. However, if the operator can only partially open or close the moonroof (such as intervals of partial ventilation), a lighter provides full manual control. The moonroof can also tilt ventilation. An auto-reverse function is integrated, contributes to the moonroof does not force close if someone's hand or arm is placed in the path of the glass. If an object is detected, the moonroof mechanism reopen the moonroof.

Frame
The 103.1-inch wheelbase, wide front and rear track, independent suspension, and features such as VSA ® and the new Motion Adaptive EPS contribute to the goal of the CR-V a premium driving experience. The suspension of the CR-V uses a MacPherson strut front and a rear multi-link suspension accurate. The compact multi-link suspension helps maximize the second seat row and cargo space, while providing ease of handling and ride comfort.
Front MacPherson
The front suspension has been designed and developed for packaging compact, soft ride comfort and the excursion of the wheel of length and strength necessary to meet the streets difficult. Main components of the front MacPherson struts are constituted by an arm of the lower subframe registered and heavy hub connected to a shock absorber and spring assembly. And the group valve spring acts as a single unit and is fixed to the wheel hub at the base and one of the reinforced portion of the vehicle on the upper side.
The front suspension geometry has an angle of incidence inversely wound springs with high confidence for tracking linear and excellent toe-control dynamics for the strong leadership and responsive. In turning, the inner wheel developed near perpendicular (with respect to the ground plane) remain for a wide range of travel, which improves the adhesion of the tire. To improve driving comfort, the angle with respect to the lower control arm adapted to send a minimum hardness. Bus specially adapted and suspension geometry accurately calibrated ensure optimum guidance, the management and the steering feel in a great variety of road conditions.
Rear multi-link suspension
The CR-V is equipped with a multi-link rear suspension that helps provide a smoother ride, better management and additional load space. The momentum created by the suspension of three connection provides excellent stability when braking and cornering. The rear independent multi-link suspension with aluminum joint compact fits under the rear seat and storage providing excellent ride and handling, with low NVH. The suspension uses large diameter rear arm bushings to reduce the hardness and improve the driving comfort. Stays front and rear increase the rigidity mounting point of the subframe, in the interests of stability and steering sensitivity.
Front and rear stabilizer bars
All models are equipped with front and rear stabilizer bars to reduce body roll when cornering. The diameter of the tubular front anti-roll bar of 20 mm, and fixed to the rear anti-roll bar measures 19 mm.
Motion-Adaptive Electric Power Steering (EPS)
After the 2012 Civic, the new Honda CR-V is the second place in the North American market for Motion-Adaptive Electric Power Steering (EPS) for use. Standard on all 2012 Honda CR-V models, this advanced system incorporates new technology driving stability control that the inputs from the driver in the right direction during cornering and on slippery roads request initiated.
Using the vehicle speed and steering angle data, Motion Adaptive EPS works with Vehicle Stability Assist Honda (VSA ®) and Electric Power Steering to detect instability in terms of grip and cornering and under braking and automatically initiates steering directed to ask the driver in the right direction. This new advanced technology supports the action of the driver in the car safer and more comfortable.
Three examples of how Motion-Adaptive Electric Power Steering (EPS) works in conjunction with VSA are:
Stabilizes Braking - Corrects the steering behavior of the vehicle to reduce jitter when the driver brakes hard on surfaces with different friction coefficients (eg, sidewalk, which is only partially covered with dirt or snow)
Reduces understeer - Corrects the steering inputs to mitigate understeer and helps the driver to trace the curve
Reduce Oversteer - Corrects the steering inputs to mitigate oversteer and help the driver to trace the curve
With Motion Adaptive EPS, advanced electric power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering replaces a conventional hydraulic steering. EPS responds immediately to steering movements and automatically changes the amount of power to increase the speed of the appropriate vehicle.
The Motion Adaptive EPS system is constituted by a rack and pinion steering with an electric motor arranged concentrically around the wheelhouse. In order to adjust the stand Powertrain control unit receives signals from a speed sensor and, in combination with a rotation sensor for the coupling of command and calculates the optimum amount of support and sends a signal to the electric motor.
In comparison with the operation of a conventional hydraulic power steering pump, however simple and lightweight motion adaptive EPS increases efficiency because they are not constant amount of current directly from the engine. Other advantages of the electric power steering system are its simplicity and compactness (no hydraulic system is required to power) and the lower power, reducing fuel consumption.
The steering ratio on all models CR-V is 16.7:1 (previously 15.7 in 2011), resulting in 3.2 turns lock-to-lock (previously 3.0 in 2011) and a diameter of turning circle of 37.0 meters (37.3 ft EX) sidewalks-(ex 37.8 m in 2011). All CR-V 2012 has a tilt-and-telescope steering wheel.
4 wheel disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
All CR-V models are equipped with 4 disc brakes (front ventilated disc and rear solid disc) for reliable braking. The system includes 4-channel ABS, electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist as standard. A power amplifier brake has a solid feel with high rigidity pedal. The ventilated front disc brakes are 11.7 inches in diameter and solid rear discs are 12.0 inches in diameter.
The 4-channel ABS independently modulates braking force at each wheel to help the driver maintain control during braking. EBD automatically optimizes the braking force between the front and rear wheels, contributes to the CR-V stops at the shortest distance, regardless of the number of passengers or the amount of charge that wears. Brake Assist detects emergency braking situations and almost instantly applies added braking force if necessary.
For 2012, the CR-V wheel hubs receive improvements. The rear hubs on all models are equipped with low friction seals of the bearings, while the rear brakes AWD models also have a soft low resistance. The improvements contribute to lower fuel consumption of the CR-V.
Hill Start Assist
New for 2012, Hill Start Assist helps prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards when the driver switches from the brake to the accelerator pedal when the vehicle is stopped on a hill. Hill Start Assist is activated automatically when the car takes a certain slope and is completely stopped in a forward or backward. The system utilizes a sensor with a longitudinal G sensor wheel speed and the steering angle sensor control of the hydraulic brake modulator. When activated, they put the brakes are released when the driver presses the accelerator to move the vehicle.
Wheels and tires
CR-V EX and EX-L models come with 225/65R17 all-season tires with 17x6.5-inch aluminum wheels. The CR-V LX is equipped with 215/70R16 all-season tires with 16x6.5-inch steel wheels printed.
Space-saving spare wheel
The spare wheel is a space and unit weight savings temporary for all models CR-V. Mounted on a steel wheel, which is located under the floor in the cargo.
Feeding system
The 15.3 liter tank is molded in high density polyethylene for low weight, corrosion elimination and impact resistance. It is located just before the rear wheels to help protect against collision damage. Corners of the tank are rounded and the inside of the tank is baffled to reduce the risk of noise reduction sloshing fuel. A new fuel pump located in the fuel tank is lighter and more efficient than the previous generation of the fuel pump. The fuel filter is a design life that should not be replaced. The CR-V Minimum quality fuel is regular unleaded.
Drawing
If equipped with a package of accessories Honda dealer installed hitch, NEW 2012 CR-V can tow up to 1,500 pounds. The package includes a provision of towing hook class II towing kit, ATF cooler and wiring.
Powertrain
The CR-V is the transmission works with the engine Drive-by-Wire ™ throttle smoothly shift between the gears. In addition, Honda's exclusive Grade Logic Control intuitively hold the appropriate gear on hilly roads, reducing the necessary displacement. For drivers who want the four seasons confidence of all-wheel drive, the new real-time AWD with Intelligent Control System makes its debut on the 2012 CR-V and is available to provide traction when driving with low grip, such as snow , rain and unpaved roads.
The Traction Control Real Time system replaces the previous-generation CR-V 4WD ™, a hydraulic drive system "dual-pump". Compared to the previous system, the system electronically activated provides a faster, more intuitive initial response when a loss of traction is detected. It also reduces the weight of 17 percent and reduces to a minimum the internal friction of 60 percent. Developments to help minimize the negative impact on fuel consumption inherent in almost all four-wheel drive systems.
185-horsepwoer 2.4-liter DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder
The 2012 CR-V is powered by a double overhead camshaft (DOHC) all-aluminum, 2.4-liter four-cylinder 16-valve design and a high volume characteristics of the intake manifold. The K24Z7 engine produces 185 hp at 7000 rpm and a torque is close to 163 pounds-ft. at 4400 rpm - with 5 hp and 2 lb-ft. torque than the previous generation. Despite the higher power, the engine also offers top-EPA estimated fuel economy than its predecessor, with an increase of over 10 percent on the highway than the 2011 model, both front-wheel and four-wheel drive versions.
A large number of innovative features designed to give a sophisticated combination of performance, fuel economy and low emissions. The most obvious is the i-VTEC "intelligent" valve control system, a technology that VTC (Variable Timing Control) combines - which continuously adjusts camshaft phase - with Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC ) - changing the valves, timing, and duration. The combination of these two systems of high power and torque - with low fuel consumption and low exhaust emissions.
In line with its commitment to the environment, Honda, CR-V engine meets the stringent California Air Resources Board (CARB) Ultra Low Emission Vehicle-2 tailpipe emissions standards and Federal Tier 2 Bin 5 emissions standard.
Engine / Crankshaft design and low friction engine
The 2.4-liter engine uses a two-piece, die-cast aluminum block and bearing cap that helps maximize strength and rigidity while minimizing noise and vibration. The upper element is compact molten cast iron cylinder liners for excellent durability and the lower element is constituted by a single jet carrier motor shaft has an iron-carbon bearing cap inserts that add to the overall structural stiffness. Each journal on the crankshaft forged steel micro-polished to reduce internal friction and improve durability.
The CR-V 4-cylinder makes use of new technologies for reduction of friction that have been designed to improve the engine. The outer skirts of lightweight aluminum pistons will now feature a low-friction coating applied in a single point-application pattern. The result is less overall friction as the pistons move within the cylinder bores. New low voltage elastic bands also reduce friction. Plateau honing further reduces the level of friction between the pistons and cylinders creating an ultra-smooth surface. Operation of sanding Plateau is 2 phases which includes two grinding processes instead of the more conventional single honing process is used. This also increases the long-term characteristics of engine wear. Low viscosity (0W-20) is also used to reduce friction.
To improve the smoothness throughout the rpm range and reduce the level of noise, the CR-V is equipped with a balancing unit internal. Composed of a pair of chain-driven counter-rotating shafts in the sump balancing helps to quell the vibrations inherent harmonic of second order which normally impact in-line 4-cylinder.
Aluminum head
The i-VTEC engine uses a compact, lightweight and cylinder head in pressure in aluminum alloy. The 4-valves per cylinder, double overhead camshafts driven by a silent-type chain for precise control of the security cam phasing. The cam actuating system is maintenance-free for the entire duration of the engine. Each room has a relatively large "squish" that promotes faster flame propagation of the race. This results in a more complete combustion of the fuel-air mixture and subsequently, low emissions.
i-VTEC valvetrain
The Honda CR-V uses an advanced valve control for high performance combined with fuel efficiency and low emissions. These version "intelligent" system combines variable timing control (VTC), which continuously adjusts the phase of intake camshaft, with Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC), which valve lift, the timing and duration of changes in intake valves. The combination of VTEC and VTC results in excellent drivability, including more horsepower and torque at low revs, with fuel consumption and significantly lower emissions.
The i-VTEC system on the 2.4-liter DOHC engine uses two rocker arms with reduced friction roller for each pair of intake valves, with a camshaft that suction lobes separated configured for both. Low and high speed in order to optimize Depending on the engine load and rpm, an electronic control unit determines which cam profile is used and how each intake will work.
At low speeds, where the 'low lift and shorter duration provide optimal operation, the timing of the two intake valves widespread and the lift asymmetrically skewed in favor of the main valve. This helps to create an effect of turbulence within the combustion chamber, so that the efficiency of the process increases burns. At higher engine speeds, a hydraulic control valve ensures a locking pin to engage the secondary rocker arm with the primary, the transition from the secondary valve in an output mode high-lift/long-duration more than 5000 revolutions per CR-V improves.
VTC, the timing of the camshaft of suction can be varied continuously over the entire speed range of the engine. Along with helping PowerBoost, VTC also provides a more stable minimum (which allows to minimize the speed) and to reduce pumping losses effectively creating an internal EGR effect at low engine speeds and medium. The result is a greater fuel efficiency and reduced emissions of NOx. Operation of the VTC is electronically controlled and is determined from the entrance from sensors that monitor rpm, timing, throttle position, cam position and unloading. Depending on the conditions, VTC can vary the valve timing of the intake cam (change its position relative to the crankshaft) of + / - 25 degrees. Activation VTC is hydraulically via a valve which sends high pressure oil to the passages in the pursuit of the crest of the march.
When idle, the timing is almost fully retarded to minimize the valve overlap. In normal driving on-road use, the camshaft timing of suction is advanced to provide overlap for EGR effect. With the throttle wide open, timing begins in an advanced condition at low engine speeds and gradually turns into a condition of delay when redline approaches. This allows optimum cylinder washing and pumping efficiency and provides excellent power and torque at all engine speeds.
Programmed injection (PGM-FI)
The electronic fuel injection CR-V (PGM-FI) is a sequential multi-port fuel injection system that constantly adjusts the precision of the supply of fuel to provide the best combination of power, low fuel consumption and low emissions. More sensors constantly monitor critical operating parameters, such as throttle position, intake air temperature, coolant temperature, ambient air pressure, air intake, pressure in the intake manifold, exhaust air ratio -combustible and the position of the motor and cams. The CR-V injectors motors provide very small droplets of fuel, which atomization and the transfer of heat in the combustion chambers improves. The better atomization enhances combustion and reduces emissions.
Normal operation on unleaded petrol
To reduce operating costs to a minimum, the CR-V is designed to be relatively less expensive regular unleaded fuel to be used, thanks to the four valves per combustion chambers and precise fuel injection and spark compression control.
Drive-by-Wire Throttle Control
An electronic drive-by-wire helps the driving character of the CR-V is a feeling of acceleration (good tip-in with a direct response) and a transmission refinement perspective (less shift shock with change intervals short). With intelligent electronics connects the gas pedal to the throttle butterfly in the intake manifold, the engine response can be optimized for the driving conditions and to adapt optimally match expectations of the driver. Eliminating the direct connection to the engine throttle cable, the relationship between the movement of the pedal and throttle continuous movement can be optimized.
The CR-V uses a DC motor to control the position of the throttle valve in the intake tract. To determine the driving conditions, the system detects the pedal position, throttle position, vehicle speed, engine speed and engine vacuum. This information is used to define the sensitivity of the gas control.
The gas system also works to improve the 5-speed automatic transmission is able to perform movements faster and smoother. Coordinate the accelerator with the displacement of the functions of transmission of energy can be precisely adapted to the needs of the transmission at any time during the process of moving. This means the change in less shock and delay, regardless of the driving situation.
ECON-mode
All CR-V models are equipped with a ECON button on the left side of the dashboard, as part of the system Eco Assist ™. When activated ECON mode alters the drive-by-wire response curve of the system in the range from about 10 percent to 80 percent of the movement of the pedal. With less profit, the accelerator in this series takes more gradually reduce peak input potentially excessive fuel. ECON mode also modifies the operation of the system of cruise control and air conditioning, which is increased slightly different from the preset speed or temperature set to save fuel if possible.
High efficiency catalysts
The key components of the CR-V engine emission requirements are excellent catalysts with high efficiency. The exhaust manifold is directly poured into aluminum alloy cylinder head to reduce the weight, and each primary catalyst position as close as possible to the combustion chambers. A high efficiency monobloc converter is directly to the exhaust port of the cylinder head of activation converter extremely rapid after starting the engine. A second converter little downstream, under the floor of the passenger compartment. Both converters use a new design thin wall which increases the internal zone of reaction and the efficiency improves. Catalysts with high efficiency of the exhaust system and high density to help the CR-V engine meets the strict ULEV-2 emissions certifications in California and the federal Tier 2 Bin 5 certification.
Less maintenance
The CR-V Maintenance Schedule for vehicle is computed by less maintenance. The system automatically indicates when to have less maintenance standards of service performed based on actual driving conditions (tracked by the ECU) and minimizes the uncertainties related to the fact that the vehicle is used in standard or severe use conditions for interval maintenance. The display indicates when the oil, air filter, oil change, spark plugs or coolant, and when the tires rotate. As calculated by the system maintenance Less, the CR-V has a range of tuning of the engine of 100,000 + / - miles or more. (See Interior For more information about Less Maintenance screen that appears on the i-MID.)
Alternator multistage control
Battery life to improve and help reduce fuel consumption, the CR-V has a new multi-stage control of the alternator. Monitoring the state of charge of the battery, the system can adapt alternator accurate than the previous up / down system mode. This control order to reduce the charging or discharging excessive and can contribute to the life of the battery up to 30 percent. Inhibiting the generation of excess energy, multi-stage control of the generator, along with other enhancements electrical systems contributes to an improvement of fuel consumption in the range of 0.5 miles per gallon.
5-speed automatic
A 5-speed automatic transmission with Grade Logic Control is standard on all models Honda CR-V. It is a compact three-shaft transmission design that is designed for smooth operation and low fuel consumption. The CR-V Powertrain Control Module (PCM) manages overall powertrain operation, and provides a careful management of the interaction between the engine and automatic transmission. This integrated control strategy allows for smoother shifts with reduced shift shock.
For 2012, the transmission is equipped with a series of features which, together, help the CR-V-EPA estimates fuel economy improvement. A new automatic transmission fluid (ATF) uses heat from the hot coolant of the engine (which heats up more quickly after a cold start-up) to help bring the ATF up to operating temperature more quickly. New lower viscosity ATF is used. The response of the lock-up clutch is improved and the number of clutch plates is reduced thanks to a new high-friction material. Finally, the CR-V regulated gear revs at cruising speed.
Grade Logic Control
For gear "hunting" and unnecessary shifting, Logic Control and Shift Hold Control systems can be integrated decrease in programming shift automatic transmission. Grade Logic Control alters the 5-speed automatic transmission planning, reduce the frequency of gear while traveling uphill or downhill. Using control inputs throttle position, vehicle speed and the acceleration / deceleration, Grade Logic compares the operating parameters with a digital map stored in the computer transmission. When the system determines the CR-V is on a hill, the program execution is adjusted to automatically hold the transmission in a lower gear for better power up or down more engine braking.
Shift Hold Control
Move Hold Control prevents upshifts to a higher gear (fourth and fifth) in repeated winding-road situations where the throttle is quickly released and the brakes are applied. This reduces the noise of the chassis when entering a corner, and provides strong power is available without a climb. Move Hold Control improves throttle response and prevents unnecessary switching on winding roads.
Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System
New for 2012, the CR-V offers real-time AWD with Intelligent Control System ™, which is a big step forward for the Real Time 4WD system used in the original Honda previous generation models represent. The compact and efficient Real Time AWD has a high degree of four-wheel drive sophistication in rain, snow, dirt roads and dry roads. The operation of the system is fully automatic and smoothness virtually transparent.
